I live in the countryside and spend most of my free time outside, whether that is on long walks with my dog or out running. I ran my first marathon last year which was super challenging and rewarding and am now training for trail running with a lot more hills! Besides running I love to read, do yoga and spend time with my friends and family who are spread out all over the UK.

In a typical day I work on a number of projects helping organisations to understand their impacts on the environment, mostly this is looking at their greenhouse gas emissions. I spend time working on my own on tasks like data analysis, research and report writing. I also spend a lot of time working collaboratively with others in my team to learn and share ideas. We communicate regularly with the organisations we work with through interviews, group calls and workshops. This communication helps them to understand their impacts and helps to engage them in finding ways to reduce their impacts.

What I'd do with the prize money:
I would love to use the Β£500 prize money to go in to schools to run engaging sessions on climate change and biodiversity. The money would enable me to take time out of work to go in to schools which isn’t always possible working in a small company.

Education:
I started education at Picklenash Junior School in Newent, Gloucestershire and went to secondary school at Newent Community School. I stayed at Newent for sixth form where I studied Fine Art, Biology and Economics. I had always wanted to go to university but wasn’t sure what I wanted to study. Eventually I settled on Biology and absolutely loved it. I then went on to do a Masters in Environmental Consultancy. I did both of my degrees at the University of Plymouth.
