John McLaverty answered on 13 Mar 2023:
Hi, I applied for my job like everyone else. I had been a teacher beforehand and I was interested in citizenship and international development. I decided to do a Masters course in international development and try to do a different type of work than teaching full time, but I wasn’t sure what. Then I saw my job advertised at Oxfam and it fitted my experience and what I was interested in, so I applied for it and was lucky enough to get it.
