I’m John
Oxfam is an international charity which works to end poverty around the world. We support projects in many countries – doing things like providing clean water or helping people with their small businesses – and one way we raise money is through Oxfam shops, which you may be familiar with.
I’m Oxfam GB’s schools worker. I guess my life is similar to most other people’s. I live in London. Sometimes I work at home writing materials for schools and putting them on the internet. Other times I go into schools and colleges and work with young people in the classroom. I also have a lot of meetings to attend.
However I love my job as I feel I’m helping to make a difference and every day is different.
